Is this the dot product?

I’m reading through the HMM explainer and got to this symbol. i’m fairly sure they mean dot product but want to double check with you folks. Do we have the same interpretation?

Do you mean dot product in the matrix sense? Don’t think that’s the case. The sun over the index i in the sum between alpha and the matrix A is already the dot product non?

a_t(i) and A_{ij} are both scalars, so it is just a multiplication?

Edit: Why does $$ breaks the line? :smile:
