Hello all and welcome to the book club,
As you probably guessed I’m Ravin and I’m really into computational statistics. It’s been a long road to stats, I started out in a completely different field of mechanical engineering but found I enjoyed the statistics career much more.
I got to work at companies such as SpaceX building rockets, where knowing programming and stats came in really handy.
Now I’m a professional data scientist at this really big company you’ve definitely heard of, but always trying to learn more
Also as you may have guessed I like books quite a lot. As a kid I always found it wonderful to go to a library and browse all the things people knew that they had written down, or all the stories they wanted to tell.
After so much inspiration I finally got to write my own, and now am more excited about books than ever.
